Tom and Lisa go on a date!

I say that like it is some really big deal, we do actually get to go out on our own pretty often. We were celebrating our anniversary yesterday (early - its on tues.) and Len and Kyle came to babysit the boys.

To say that Jack and Quent are excited for Uncle Lenny and Aunt Ky-Ky to come over is an extreme understatement! They get crazy when they see them. When its time for Momma and Daddy to go they are enthusiastically saying "Bye Momma, Bye Daddy!" and literally walking us to the door.

Tom and I went out for lunch at Logan's Roadhouse. It was pretty good, its one of those throw-your-peanut-shells-on-the-floor kind of places and when you are not that into eating peanuts it doesn't really add that much to your experience. Tom like his steak and my chicken salad was good too. The bread they bring to the table was very good, I love the carbs!

We then went to buy big boy beds for Jack and Quent due to the crib recall (see this post for that info). We went for the twin beds and decided to bypass the toddler beds figuring that the toddler beds would not last really long due to the boys' height and it was better to just spend the money on the twin beds now. Which also means we had to get mattress pads, sheets and the bed rails so we don't fall out. All in all it was an expensive trip! But all we have to do now is get everything rearranged in their room, wash all the new linens, and get started in our new beds.
Papa is delivering the mattresses to day in his truck (THANKS PAPA) and we will probably work on setting everything up in the next few days. I will post some pictures of before and after.

My babies just keep on growing up! *sniff sniff*

We saw Hancock at the theatre and we both really liked the movie. I like anything that Will Smith is in, but this movie was very good. When we got home we got the lowdown from the day and boy id they have fun here while we were gone. They went for a walk, played outside, got to see Joel's (Kyle's Dad) motorcycle (and even sit on it!) and play with Laverne, Len and Kyle's doggy.

This morning they were still all abuzz about their fun day yesterday with Lenny and Ky-Ky. At breakfast Quent was even pretending to lick his cereal out of his bowl like "Laverne dinkin da water"! SO so funny!

We so need a date night/day soon! Its been too long! How cute that the kids push you out the door. So comforting to know they are in such good hands and are so loved when you're not there!
