Do you love the '80s?

If you do, you will certainly appreciate this one!

One of my MOMs friends sent this to me in an email.
Tom and I laughed out loud!  It is freakin' hilarious!

This is a perfect example of the ridiculous stuff that was in '80s music videos.
Ridiculous and FABULOUS!
I vividly remember the era of the music video.  When MTV would schedule the 'World Premiere' of a new video we would make sure we watched to see what awesomeness would be on. Then talk to our friends about how cool it was. We watched MTV and sang and danced along at sleepovers.  That was how we knew the cool clothes to wear, how to do our makeup, how high to rat our hair!  Not everyone on MTV was beautiful back then, but that didn't seem to matter.  (Seriously, think about some of the hair bands, definitely not  the pretty boy band cuteness of today).
The music video was part of the culture of my youth.
Now that MTV rarely plays a music video at all, its kind of sad.
Then again, today it is not the same - videos today are at all  like the videos of the 80's were.  Makes me feel nostalgic for the old days of crazy lyrics, bad lighting, fugly band members, cheap visual effects, huge hair and silly outfits and seemingly random plot scenes!

Ahhh, those were the days!

Halloween's not over yet?!

Jack and Quent saw this on some of our friends' Facebook pages and we watched it (over and over) and they wanted to make one too.  So, here is the one we made today with Jack, Quent, Tom, Avery, and Tessa.
It did turn out pretty darn cute!  They will be so excited to see it when they get up from nap!!

Two for Twos-day - Jack and Daddy dance

As Quent (feeling too icky to dance- see previous post) sat on my lap Sunday night, we taped Daddy and Jack dancing the crazy dance to the song "Tantrum" from the book by Sandra Boynton called Dog Train
This is one of those Kohls cares for kids books that they sell for $5 and it as a CD in it. I bought it along time ago and the boys have fallen in love with all the songs on here - especially "Tantrum"!

So, here it is - the crazy Tantrum Dance by Jack and his Silly Daddy!
(with a little cute bonus of Quent at the end!)

I am still here

Just in case you were wondering...

No news on the job front yet, but thanks for all the great words of support and help from my peeps. I'll let you know as soon as there is news to tell.

We have been trying to keep warm here (terribly frigid weather as many of you have had too) and trying to keep the boys busy and having fun. I had a sick day on Wednesday and the boys spent that day with daddy - Big Fun for them! We had a couple visits from Gramma, a very welcomed visitor by Jack and Quent! they fought over her the whole time! Our big fun was that we went to Grand Rapids for Avery's birthday party yesterday and that was a blast!! (I will have pictures up tomorrow)

So, I am still here, a big bundle of nerves, but still here.

And just because I never posted it before but had it all loaded and ready to go I will take this opportunity to put up a video we took over the summer - yep, I am right on top of things - when we had a HUGE spider living in our window. It was between the screen and the sliding part of the window, so while the spider was there we did not open the window, I certainly did not want that thing in the house!!
But the boys loved watching it and making it scurry around by tapping on the glass.
**Be sure to take special notice of the screaming Momma who is so creeped out by the spider that even though it is behind glass I still jump and shriek. (gosh i hate to listen to my own voice!)
and OMG - how small my little boys look and sound - it was not that long ago!

Guitar Dancin'

Okay, so this is like my 3rd post today, but...

FINALLY - I figured a way to get a longer video uploaded and able to be shared. Now I just need to play with the editing stuff so I can edit it down so you don't have to watch a really long video, just the really cute parts! I am just so proud of myself for finally getting it up here, it seems like I have been trying forever.

Anyway, this video is of the boys dancing with their guitars, mostly Jack dancing with some singing from Quent. I just love watching Jack dance, he really gets into it and dances A LOT! There are very few times in our house when there is not music on and it is usually requested by Jack.

So, here they are - my dancin' machines! (sorry it's so dark)
