Hose 'em down

It's a Farmer's Market day in our town today and we went to see what good stuff we could find. Also, Gramma was looking for strawberries to make jam (yummmmm) so we were looking for those for her too. We loaded into the stroller and brought along our eco-friendly shopping bags (which I love love love).

Maybe because it was a holiday coming up, I am not sure but this time there was not a whole lot to see at the market. As much as Quentin really wanted to find "stwawbebbies" for Gramma there were none left when we got there! Yes, we get there at 10:30 and they are out of strawberries!
So, we looked around, saw some trains, bought some pastries and walked home.

Well, it was pretty hot this morning and I was sweaty when we got home and the boys were hot too even just riding in the stroller. So, we turned on the hose and had a run through the water to cool off and play!

Quent had a great time. Jack, not so much.

Pay particular attention to how Quent is right at the water having a great time and Jack is far, far away from the water, only sneaking a little bit close to get a tiny bit wet!

We also got a cool rainbow going on this last picture!
Quent is our water baby, Jack will get there though!

we haven't tried the sprinkler or hose yet...just the pool, but I want to try the splash pad next week. You free Wed. afternoon? Might be going with Kerry Bennett and her twins.

Jacob has already learned though (From us watering the garden and giving the dogs water outside) that water does come from the hose. I filled up the dog's water dish the other day and Jacob saw me...ran over to his water table and said and signed "wawa" and pointed to the water side of his table. How did he put that all together? Too smart, I tell ya!

Liam and Brenna tried the sprinkler for the 1st time yesterday...both had mixed reactions.

Looks like Quent really likes it, great pic with the rainbow and all.
