Lots of February Fun!

Gramma took this picture of Jack and Quent cuddling in Gramma and Papa's bed watching TV.  They had spent the night and woke up in the morning and went straight to cuddle in bed with Gramma and Papa.
They do the same thing with Momma and Dadddy!

Yummy Icicles!!

"I'm gonna get you with this snowball Momma!"

"I am the King of the World!"

Watching a movie at Uncle Dan and Aunt Betty's house:
Jack, Quent, Alexis, Tessa, Gramma and Avery - CUTE!

Quentin being silly with the help of Aunt Jean and Aunt Barbie, while we wait for lunch at the restaurant.
We went to lunch for Aunt Margaret's Birthday - but I have no pictures of her - how did that happen?!

Yep, he is quite the entertainer!

Jack was not as eager to play silly that day, but Aunt Jean sneaked in a little silliness anyway !!

Tom took the boys sledding thsi past Sarturday - they had a BLAST!
Then they came home to play in the snow and build a snowman.  We finally got to use the snowman kit that I had bought from Bronner's back in December.  Not only have we not had that much snow, but when we did get snow it was so cold that the snow would not pack together to make a snowman.
The boys were pretty excited about their adorable snowman!

Milestone: Our First ER trip

So, we made it 3 years and 8 months without a visit to the ER.
Not bad.

Then, a week ago Tuesday, the corner of the counter jumped out and crashed into poor Quentin's lip/face and caused a deep gash that, unfortunately, needed stitches.
Of course it happened at the end of the evening so our ER trip was a late night one - and during a pretty crappy snowstorm too!
Don't almost all trips to the ER with kids ended up happening at night?!

We called Gramma and she went with us, driving us there during the crappy weather.  Now, that's one good Gramma!  Quent was fine with going to the hospital and did a great job all around!  We talked a lot about what would happen and he asked a lot of questions, but he really did exceptionally well.  The Dr. who did the stitches said that he was better than some adults at getting stitches in!!
He really did so great, he was so brave!

Thumbs up Mom!
Waiting for the numbing gel to do its work before getting the stitches, Gramma made him a glove balloon and he had lots of stickers and stuff to do.

Ahhhh, using his glove balloon as a pillow!
Even in the ER late at night (maybe 11:30?) he still was being silly!
You know he actually does sleep like this, with his hands under his face - its pretty sweet!

He was an AWESOME patient!
I was so proud of the great job he did, not only in getting the 3 stitches so calmly, but in the 4 hour wait that we had before (luckily not all of that time in the waiting room). He really wanted to talk and play with the other kids when we were in the waiting room, but they were all there because they were sick and I did not want him to pick up any illness while we were there, so we made him stay with us and kept sanitizing his hands (and ours) while we were there.  He was a trooper though, we just kept saying that we did not want to share their germs and he did pretty well.
We got home that night at about 1:30 am and so he got to bed by about 2am.  Other than making up for some lost sleep he next day, there have been no real problems at all with the "boo-boo".
He is healing well and since they are dissolving stitches, he is already losing some of them.

As you can see - 3 stitches can't hold this boy down!!

(Just so you know: During the whole ordeal, Jackson was at home with Daddy and went to bed.  He gave me and Quent a kiss before we left and said goodbye.  He was pretty fascinated the next morning to see Quent's boo-boo.)

Natty G's Winter ONE-derland

We got to celebrate Amy (my BFF) and Greg's little Natalie's First Birthday a few weeks back.  Natalie or Natty G (as I have taken to  calling her) was surrounded by lots of family and friends and love for her big day!

This was a One-derful theme for a winter birthday party!

Natty G is constantly on the go, she has gotten this walking thing down and she does not let much stop her!
Not even her Mom trying to put her Birthday crown on!

I had the extreme honor of making Natalie's first birthday cake and the cupcake tower for all her guests.
It was so much fun to do all the snowflakes and the cool snow globe cake for her.
I think it turned out pretty cool!

"Hmmm....Okay so where's that cake?!"

Natalie was flirting big time with Quentin, and he was more than happy to love all over her too!

She was not too sure about the whole cake thing.
She picked at the frosting, pinching up a little bit in her fingers, then tasting it a little.
It was too funny!  She was so dainty and careful with it!

Opening her awesome birthday gifts with her awesome Mommy and Daddy.

This seemed to be Natalie's favorite gift of all!
Her Grandma Charlie made her a beautiful baby doll (with red hair like Natty G's).
She cuddled and loved on her doll - It was so adorable!

And also gave the baby a little nibble on the toes!

Happy 1st Birthday Natalie!!

...Then we had a party in the Lodge...

(The exciting conclusion of Avery's 4th Birthday Sledding Party!)

Time for Everyone to get into the Lodge at the Sledding Hill and get warmed up with some Hot Chocolate and Pizza.  The Lodge there was really cool, I wish I had taken a few pictures of just that.  It was warm and toasty in there with a fireplace, just perfect after sledding out in the cold!

*Notice all the rosy cheeks, just makes all the kids looks so much cuter!!

Cake Time!

♫♫ Happy Birthday Dear Avery ♫♫
♫♫ Happy Birthday to you! ♫♫

And making her wish!

Party Kids!!

GEEZ, you would think that the poor kid never had a piece of cake!!
(This was piece #2 snuck over to him by Uncle Rob!)

Then it was time for gifts back at Rob and Abby's house.
Here's Miss Avery giving a great smile before she dives into her Birthday loot.

Avery and Aunt Lisa (me), what fun it is to spoil little girls!

Avery LOVES Ice Age and she REALLY LOVES Syd from Ice Age.
This is the only picture I got of the blanket and pillow that my Aunt Barbie made for her - it is Adorable!
And Avery thought it was awesome, so much so that she snuggled right down with it.
(*notice the tushies of my guys in the background as they scope out some of Avery's other gifts)

A Super-Fun party for a Super-Special 4 year old!
We Love You Avery!

And Happy Birthday to Abby (Avery's Mom) whose birthday just happens to be today!  Have a great Birthday Abs!!
