Happy 4th of July!

We had a fun 4th of July right here in our little town! The weather was perfect and a beautiful day for a parade! Gramma, Aunt Jean, and GG came over to watch the parade after lunch. It was not a huge parade but Jack and Quent were pretty impressed. We rode our bikes over to sit in the shade and watch the parade go by. There were lots of kids at the end of the parade that had decorated their bikes for the 4th, it was sweet. They were ina competition and the best bike won 1st prize.
After the parade we walked downtown for ice cream and met the 1st prize bike contest winner and the railroad days princess! (their Grandpa owns the ice cream shop)
Yep, celebrities in our little town!
the boys enjoying their cones on their bikes

Jack is peeking over at the car wash across the street, the dessert time entertainment

yummy ice cream - notice that Quent has eaten the sides of the cone
and therefore he leaked ice cream all over his shorts! Luckily, we are washable!

the carwash is running again!

Patriotic boys and the flags that he "princess" had given them

We spent the evening at home playing and relaxing. It was a nice day for us all.
Hope your was a great holiday too!
