First we went Sledding...

The best part of having a January Birthday -
Is having a SLEDDING PARTY!!

This was last weekend at Avery's sledding party for her 4th birthday!
The boys had never been sledding and they were so excited to try it out.  And, you guessed it it was an instant hit!  They went down and up that hill over and over and then were brave enough to go down on their own!

Negotiating who is going on this sled.

Gramma gives Rob, Avery and Quent a push.

Abby and Tessa getting ready for their ride down the hill.

Quent going alone!

Tessa getting some help up the hill from her Poppy.

Jack making his way up - and bringing his own sled up too!

Gramma's got the pushin' job again!

There's the birthday girl!

Jack loved this saucer - he would lay down on it on his way down the hill and then completely put put his arms and legs and just spin around down the rest of the way.  It was hilarious!

How many kids can you cram into that sled??

So Happy!!

Quent made a new friend (one of the kids there for the party) named Caleb.  Quent jumped right on this kid's sled with him and they rode down together, after that they were buddies!

After the sledding we all went to the lodge for pizza and cake -And to warm up!!
More pictures from Avery's Birthday later...

That looks like incredible (and tiring) fun!

Looks cold to me! Haven't did it yet, but I know they would love it. We have did just pulling, just no downhill. Pizza and cake at the end might tempt me to get out there.

looks like fun!! I grew up just down the street from a HUGE sledding hill (Waverly Golf Course? ever seen it?).

With Adam's birthday in January...I may have to remember this idea of a sledding party when he gets a bit older! fun!

Avery and Tessa had so much fun that day. Tessa slept the whole way home and 2 more hours after we got home. It takes a lot for the "brittkateers" to get up and down that hill a hundred times on their own!!! Thanks for making it a great day guys!-
