Daddy's Homecoming

Tom spent a week in Kansas for work at the end of June, and boy did we miss our Daddy!
I did my best to keep things busy and fun for the boys and keep them from missing Daddy too much. That week on my own wore me out, but we handled it okay and we very glad when it was time for Tom to come home.
Jackson and Quentin were SO EXCITED to go pick him up at the airport when he flew home on June 27th!

Watching for Daddy's plane

Hooray - it's Daddy!!
It was so cute, they ran down the hall to him yelling "Daddy! Daddy!"
And of course, gave him big hugs and kisses.

Jack and Quent showing Daddy all the big planes.
On our way out of the airport, they both wanted to hold Daddy's hand, so Momma was the valet for the luggage! It was pretty adorable that they just wanted to be with their Dad.

On our way home form the airport, we stopped at Great Lakes Crossing to stretch our legs and get some dinner. We went into the Bass Pro Shop (I think that's what it was - see what happens when you wait so long to blog about it) to look around. They had some cool stuff to see there!
There is a stream that runs through the store, with fish in it and a waterfall with a waterwheel.
On one side of the store there is a giant tank with all kinds of water creatures in it.
The boys loved it and we thought it was pretty cool too.

Here is a little "bubble" that they could get up into to see the fish swimming all around.
Pretty neat.

And this is when I went on the other side of the tank and took pictures of them in the bubble through the water.

It kind of looks like they are in the water too!

We had dinner in the jungle!!
That's what Jack and Quent call the Rainforest Cafe. They tell everyone that we had dinner in the jungle!
Jack says - "what's that noise?"

Surprised Quent!
Our table was by a really pretty fish tank, so that provided lots of fun dinner conversation. Not to mention that we were also sitting near the elephants and the apes.

Jack and Daddy, just 2 of my favorite boys!

Momma and her Quenti-bug

Always the silly boy, Quentin!

Happy smiling Jack!

These two pictures are so funny because this is the way they would sit when the jungle would erupt with all the noise of the animals and the thunder booms.
Because we are so not used to loud noises - no - not us!
So, tonight is my "get it all on the blog before I am too too far behind" night. So there will be multiple posts just to get myself back on track!

** Don't forget to keep scrolling through tonight's posts to see more pictures from our busy July!

oh, good idea to check out Bass Pro shop! I bet my kids would love it, too! Not sure Sarah would like the noisy Rainforest tho! Can you tell she's my hesitant one lately??
