Happy Halloween 2010!

We have thoroughly enjoyed this Halloween season, attending parties, dressing up and trick or treating have all been super-fun this year!
Hope Everyone had a Happy and Safe Halloween!

Heading out to Trick or Treat in our neighborhood:
Jack was the Fed Ex Delivery Man - complete with a dolly full of packages and
Quent was a Scary Dinosaur (though I think he was mostly adorable, he swears he was scary!)

At one house -  (just love that tail on the dinosaur) aren't they quite the cute pair!

And then they were showing off their jack-o-lanterns -
which they drew themselves and Mom and Dad  helped to carve.
They both did a great job!
Happy Halloween from our handsome Fed Ex Guy and adorable Dinosaur!

Halloween's not over yet?!

Jack and Quent saw this on some of our friends' Facebook pages and we watched it (over and over) and they wanted to make one too.  So, here is the one we made today with Jack, Quent, Tom, Avery, and Tessa.
It did turn out pretty darn cute!  They will be so excited to see it when they get up from nap!!

Way Back When-esday - the High School Years!!

Like , Oh my God! I like totally cannot believe that I like found these bitchin' pictures of me from like high school, like they are like totally awesome!

I had the chance to meet up with some girls from high school for dinner last week. It was so fun! We all found each other on facebook (yep - I am now in its clutches!) and one o fthe girls suggested that we all get together. So, 8 of us ended up being able to go and we had a good time catching up and commenting on how old we feel!! Its funny, I was telling them, I know that I have grown up, gotten married, had kids, etc., but when I think of them I still think o fthem as their high school selves. Its weird.

So, I was going through some old pictures and decided to scan in few.
Have a good laugh at the hairdos and totally 80/90's styles, the pics are from my senior year, 1992!
Let the hilarity begin...

Me and some friends in what i think is some math class, not sure if its algebra or what.
I am the one, with the relatively small hairdo for me, 2nd from the right.

Here I am sporting a little taller 'do, but am pretty sure i am in physics class, not sure why everyone is watching what I am doing, or really what I am doing?!

My gosh - here is me, Sharon, and April bowling on our last day of school senior year (which happened to be my birthday!). We had gone out to celebrate and that included bowling! There were a bunch of us and I do remember it being pretty fun. Love the giant bows in our hair! Yep, I am wearing a Ren and Stimpy shirt (remember that show?), ever the fashionista!

This is Stephanie and me volunteering for Biking for Burns. It may or may not be my senior year, not sure, but golly that hair is BIG! I remember using a lot of hairspray back then. I had to periodically scrubthe hairspray buildup on my vanity in my room from the fallout of the vast amount I used every day! Not to mention the carpet would get stiff behind the vanity chair and that wold bnee dt be cleaned too. I do hold some personal responsibility for the breakdown of our ozone layer.

These are from Senior banquet, its me and my friend April, just in case you don;t know I am the one in the awesome floral patterned dress! And no I am not drinking alcohol in the bottom picture, it was some fruity drink they had, like punch. Oh no, I don't need alcohol to act goofy and silly! That still holds true!

So, head on over to Twinfatuation to see who else is feeling nostalgic tonight!

Baby Picture Sundays - Mardi Gras!

Since the kids and I have never been to Mardi Gras (I think Tom has, actually) and that is Debi's theme this week on Baby Picture Sunday, I chose these pictures to show just how we party around here:

Two for Twos-day - Jack and Daddy dance

As Quent (feeling too icky to dance- see previous post) sat on my lap Sunday night, we taped Daddy and Jack dancing the crazy dance to the song "Tantrum" from the book by Sandra Boynton called Dog Train
This is one of those Kohls cares for kids books that they sell for $5 and it as a CD in it. I bought it along time ago and the boys have fallen in love with all the songs on here - especially "Tantrum"!

So, here it is - the crazy Tantrum Dance by Jack and his Silly Daddy!
(with a little cute bonus of Quent at the end!)

Guitar Dancin'

Okay, so this is like my 3rd post today, but...

FINALLY - I figured a way to get a longer video uploaded and able to be shared. Now I just need to play with the editing stuff so I can edit it down so you don't have to watch a really long video, just the really cute parts! I am just so proud of myself for finally getting it up here, it seems like I have been trying forever.

Anyway, this video is of the boys dancing with their guitars, mostly Jack dancing with some singing from Quent. I just love watching Jack dance, he really gets into it and dances A LOT! There are very few times in our house when there is not music on and it is usually requested by Jack.

So, here they are - my dancin' machines! (sorry it's so dark)

Two for Twos-day

My Very Goofy Little Boys!

These boys sure do have very active imaginations and even though I cannot always catch them in the photo together (here they are on either side of the me at the desk in our den) they are always pretty hilarious men!

Quent is using a sand bucket as a firefighter's hat!

Jack is trying to make Mr.Potato Head's glasses fit!

Needless to say, pretend play stuff is on our list for Santa this year.

Head on over to Eight is Great to see lots of other Two for Twos-day fun photos!

Just too stinkin' cute

Have I mentioned that my guys are adorable?

Really, the funniest, cutest little beings that I have ever encountered.

So, today after nap, they are in their room playing and I hear them talking about and playing with their stuffed animal dogs. Jack is particularly attached to a stuffed dog that he got while he was in pre-op before he had his tonsils out. It's blonde and soft and he LOVES it. Quent has taken a liking to a beanie baby-type bassett hound dog that my Aunt Nancy had sent as a gift from Maine. They both sleep with these dogs (in addition to a herd of other friends) and they like to cover them up and help the dogs go to sleep - you know like pat their backs, give them kisses - just too sweet.

Well, today I am changing them after nap, just talking about their dogs and I asked "What is your doggie's name?" They would say, 'dog', 'white dog', but I don't think they were getting that I was asking them for a name. So, I read the tag on the beanie baby dog and it says that the name is Tracker.
And I say, "Quentie your doggie's name is Tracker."

"Oh my dog is Cracker", Quent tells me. (I try to correct him but he holds firm to the name Cracker, so Cracker it is.)

I turn to Jack and say, "Quentie's doggie is named Cracker, what is your doggie's name?"

"Not Cracker. Not Cracker. I like the Cookie", Jack says!

"Jack, your doggie's name is Cookie?" I ask smiling.

Jack jumps and yells, "Okay, my doggie is Cookie!"
And they each called them that the rest of the day.

Yep, my boys have named their dogs Cracker and Cookie - I LOVE IT!!

Funny Man!

Here is a video I took (finally!) of Quentin's very cute joke that he tells. He came up with this totally on his own a little while back and since I laughed so hard when he said it, he has continued to do it!
My future comedian!

"Garbage?!"
Too cute, such a silly boy!
(Jack is in the background saying "Bye Baby!" - sweet!)

These boys just come up with the funniest stuff!

"Look, Momma, Woody is a takeen a baff"
(look, Momma, woody is taking a bath)

"Siddy Woody, he a takeen a baff wiff his boots on!"
(silly woody, he is taking a bath with his boots on!)

"Jackson turn a peechur - cheese!"
(Jackson's turn for a picture)

Jack takes his hat off and repeats after Momma
"whoa gotta cwazy haiw"
(whoa - you got some crazy hair!)

It has just been one of those silly baby days, we started the morning by Quentin coming into our room and getting up on our bed. He cuddled next to me and then pulled back to get a good look and said as he pointed to my head on the pillow,
"Momma haiw awl messy!"
complete with the crinkled nose and furrowed brow look. Priceless.
Thanks Baby, and good morning to you too!

Friday Foto Finish Fiesta

Here is Candid Carrie's latest idea for a cool linky post for Friday!
Check out who else is playing at her site!

I just have 2 boys who love their accessories!
They have always loved to wear hats and these are just 2 examples.
Quent is above and he went through a stage where that bowl was on his head most of the day! He loved that thing and he was too cute wearing it too!
Jack is below that and is wearing (not too happily) a paper hat I made one day while we were coloring. Don't you just love that "Mom get his stupid thing off my head" look that he is giving me!

Friday's Foto Finish Fiesta

I decided to participate in Candid Carrie's Friday Foto Finish Fiesta
for something fun and different today.
I saw that Debi over at Who Says 8 is Enough? was playing
and it looked too cute, so here we go!

Okay, so it is supposed to be one favorite foto,
but you can't get the full story with just one foto - you need the series!

These pictures were taken when Jack and Quent were 5 months old. They are being very entertained by their Daddy, my darling husband, Tom.
Now, Tom used to work for a YMCA Camp (in fact he was working there when we met, but that's a whole 'nother story) ,so Tom knows a lot of silly camp songs. He is singing and doing the hand gestures for a song called - I don't even know the name - but you may just recognize the words below if you were ever at camp or in scouts.

The boys LOVED this song when Daddy would sing it. It was so cute to see him singing and being so silly just to get his kids to laugh! Just one example of how he is a great Dad!
It was a big hit on our house for a long time!

Here's how it goes:

Mary had a little lamb,
Whose fleece was white as snow
And everywhere that Mary went
She threw it out the window!
The window, the window!
The second-story window!
High low, low high
Throw it out the window!

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
All the king's horses and all the king's men
Threw him out the window!
The window, the window
The second-story window!
High low, low high
Throw him out the window!

(you can add any nursery rhyme you want to it, the kids love it!)

If you give a boy a kitchen...

He'll eventually use the oven as a garage for his cars!

That's my clever Quent!
